Empower Erie Board Members

Empower Erie is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, headed by Atty. Ronald A. DiNicola. The goal of Empower Erie is to establish a Community College in Erie County as a way to improve the overall educational attainment and household income of Erie County Residents, meet employer’s current and future needs for skilled workers, make Erie a more attractive place for businesses, and create more family sustaining jobs.

Our volunteer Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team, with unique expertise and experience, to support the establishment of a Community College in Erie County.

Bob Oliver received a B.A. in Psychology from Edinboro University and Guidance Certificate (Gannon University) and Superintendent Certification (Edinboro University). In 1998, he completed his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at NOVA – Southeastern University.

From 1989 to 2010, Robert has served in varied capacities in the City of Erie School District including Supervisor of Student Assistance Programs, Dean of the Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy, Member of Superintendent’s Cabinet, Director of High School Education and Assistant Superintendent.

Bob was also a foster parent for Erie County Office of Children and Youth for 15 years. He serves as a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Erie and the Erie Earn-It Program of Juvenile Probation. He is also a member of the Children & Youth Advisory Board, Erie County.
